

These rights, established by the Supreme Court in 1975, are employees’ rights to representation at meetings called by supervisors or administrators where there is reason to believe that discharge or disciplinary action may result. To invoke these rights, an employee must state to the employer that he/she wants a representative present; the employer has no obligation to ask if the employee would like representation. UFF members have a right to UFF representation at such meetings.
