Membership Growth in Engineering

May 07, 2012

A multi-department team of UFF leaders in the College of Engineering, headed by John Schueller (Mechanical & Aerospace), has been reaching out to colleagues who have not yet joined the UFF. This systematic, sustained, and personal approach – with individual conversations as well as formal presentations at departmental meetings – is producing results. Since Spring 2011 when the UFF Engineering organizing team launched, membership in the College has grown in every department. Non-tenure track engineering faculty are active in the new NTT Caucus as well. If you are a UFF member in Engineering and want to get involved in building our membership in Engineering, contact John Schueller at schuej@gmail.com. And if you’re not yet a member, when a UFF member colleague approaches you, have that conversation and sign up!

About uff-uf.org

Our website provides information to UFF-UF members and members of the bargaining unit at the University of Florida. In addition, we use this platform to share information that we believe to be of special interest to members but that is not necessarily the opinion or official position of UFF-UF.

Since 1976

UFF has been advocating for Florida’s faculty. We have a proven ability to influence legislation, negotiate contractual rights, and protect members against contract violations. With your membership, we can be even stronger.
