I love my work recruiting, mentoring and advising students, but as a faculty member in an ‘assistant in’ advising line, sometimes I wonder where I fit in at UF. Despite all the ways non-tenure track faculty contribute to the university, our own rights and benefits are not always top priority. Being in UFF gives me a voice and creates stability in an unstable political environment like this last legislative session. We have power when we unite, plain and simple.
